18k Yellow Gold Custom Solitaire Diamond Engagement Ring
Item #103283 $5,002 Price does not include center stoneEngagement Ring Description
The clients provided some inspiration pieces to show the style of the piece and the type of hand engraving they were interested in, and we used this information to create high-quality CAD models of their design. We posted these to the online workroom we set up to manage their project, and they communicated back and forth with our team in the same way until they were sure every detail of their set was perfect. Center Setting
At the center of this ring sits a 0.71 carat round brilliant cut diamond. It’s held in a four prong setting made from 14k rose gold that rises up gracefully from the cathedral shank below. The brilliant white of the diamond creates a lovely contrast with the warm tones of the rose gold, and this relationship helps to highlight the particular attributes of both metal and gemstone.
Small peaks of metal also rise up on both ring fronts directly below the main diamond, stopping about half-way up the sides of the stone. This is the same level that the points of the shank shoulders rise up to as they transition to the center setting, and the subtle pattern this creates helps reinforce the organic elements found on the band below. Matching Wedding Sets
Hand Engraving
The tops and fronts of the ring are hand-engraved with a flowing organic pattern all the way around. This is the same pattern that’s found on the matching wedding band we made to complete this set, and it’s based on a sample piece that the clients found and fell in love with.
Because we complete engraving like this by hand as the last step in the production process, we can customize it to a great degree, and this provides you with a wonderful opportunity to work in a personal detail to add even greater meaning to an already significant piece.
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
