Description
This lovely engagement ring features a round ruby set at the center of a rose design. It comes with a wedding band that interlocks and adds an additional leaf pattern to the sides of the rose. It was created as a custom order for a client who wanted to surprise his girlfriend when he returned from deployment. He had a very specific idea of what he wanted the ring to look like in order to make everything about the proposal perfect, and we worked with him to make his vision a reality.

Ruby Center
The stone at the center of this ring is a round ruby with a deep red color, which really adds some dramatic flair to the piece. It makes an excellent alternative to the traditional diamond engagement ring, and it also adds its own layers of symbolic meaning. Rubies have long been used to represent love, and their color evokes the power and warmth of fire as a representation of your undying passion for each other.
The stone in this ring sits at the center of a rose design, and it’s held securely in place with a six prong setting that helps to accentuate the floral nature of the design. The white gold of the band also stands in stark contrast to the rich color of the stone, producing a result that is both dramatic and elegant.
Interlocking Bands
This project also involved the creation of a complementary wedding band to go with this piece. The wedding band design allows it to cross over and interlock with the engagement ring, and it also adds some leaf accents on either side of the main setting to complete the rose. There are many ways you can take this piece and adapt it to make it your own. After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
