Three-stone Setting
This beautiful design features a 2.37 ctw pear-shaped alexandrite, securely mounted in place by a five-prong setting and accentuated by one trillion gray spinel on each side. These side stones are placed with the pointed tip facing downwards towards the band and sit in three-prong setting, keeping all three corners safe and secure. The spinels’ orientation highlights the artfully designed band and enhances the colorful play at the center of the ring.
The center Alexandrite gives this ring an extra layer of detail and exciting feature, since it’s characterized by a color shifting trait. In sunlight, alexandrites appear blue-green, whereas indoors, their color shifts to reddish-purple hue. This interesting detail adds a unique look to the overall ring.
Mokume Gane Band
To complement the uniqueness of this engagement ring’s center piece, the band features a sleek design with an inlay of mokume gane. This technique is a networking process which creates carefully layered metalwork that resembles wood. The combination in this ring, is a mixture of rose gold, palladium white gold and silver. The distinctive mesh created from this medley adds more flavor to this piece of art. For a more artful and accentuated look, the band was drizzled by a flow of milgrain, contouring the edges of the outer mokume gane inlay.
Customization
Our client requested to have their wedding bands trace the engagement ring and started the design process in parallel. If you choose this approach, you’ll ensure that your bands perfectly match the engagement ring. If this is not an option for you, we’ve got your back. You can always request from our designers to create your matching piece, whenever you’re ready for it. We would then plan for a ring-fitting process along the way. We promise you 100% satisfaction.
Details
To reduce color fading, avoid friction against any surface. Avoid wearing your mokume ring during exercise, construction work, gardening, or other abrasive activities. When owning a mokume gane ring with oxidization, avoid chlorine or other similar chemicals as they eat away the patina.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
