The couple visited our Seattle, WA showroom to browse rings and get a feel for what they liked. After trying different styles and learning more about the custom process, they chose the materials they wanted for their ring and we proceeded to the CAD stage of design. After a modification to the halo, we moved the piece to production and brought the ring to life.
Oval Diamond and Halo
The center of this ring is a gorgeous oval gem. It is surrounded by a diamond halo, framing the center beautifully. The halo features a scalloped setting style around the outside edge to emphasize the sparkle from the halo. Halo Engagement Rings
Braid-style Band
The shank of the custom setting is a braided style, also known as a rope style. This pattern adds depth and interest to the band, reflecting light more than a classic shank because of the grooves. The pattern is continued all the way around the ring. The halo and center diamond are set at the very top, allowing space for an eventual wedding ring to sit flush against the engagement ring. Design and estimate

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
Lifetime warranty and care

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
