Center Diamond and Halo
At the heart of this design is a 1.50 carat cushion cut diamond that’s prong set in 14k white gold. The prongs cradle the stone securely, meeting it at its rounded corners and holding it up just slightly above the level of the surrounding halo. This halo is made up of round diamonds that are split prong set in white gold, and it follows the general contours of the larger diamond but with slightly more of a rounded shape. This gives the center setting as a whole a somewhat classical feel, and the small height difference between the center and the halo helps create a vaguely floral feel for the piece overall. Diamond Accents and Metal Options
Round diamonds are split prong set in lines that run down both shank shoulders, ending at the mid-point on each side. These provide a connection between the large center setting and the relatively narrow band, and they also add some glamorous sparkle to the ring all their own. Halo Engagement Rings
The use of white gold compliments the brilliant white sparkle of the diamonds, allowing it to shine through clearly. This design is also available in rose or yellow gold varieties, however, and both of these bring a new dynamic in terms of both color contrast and stylistic overtones. After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
