This elegant engagement ring features a round blue sapphire and two pear-shaped diamonds in a three-stone setting, with custom hand engraving, milgrain, and filigree accents. It was created for a client from Monroe, WA, who worked with us onsite in our Bellevue, WA showroom to finalize all details of the ring.

Three-stone Setting
The centerpiece of this ring is a 0.91 carat round blue sapphire, and it’s prong-set in platinum at the very top of the tapered shank. Its stunning blue fire contrasts wonderfully with the brilliant platinum and the sparkling white of the two pear-shaped diamonds that make up the rest of the three-stone setting. The pear-shaped diamonds are also prong-set, and they’re oriented with their rounder ends closer to the center sapphire. The points on the other end help to ease the transition into the narrower shank, and their smooth curves are reflected in the pattern of engraving that covers the majority of the band as well.
Hand-engraving and Custom Filigree
Both the top and fronts of the band feature a lovely wheat engraving all the way down to the three-quarter point. This brings a decidedly vintage feel to the ring, and the milgrain beading lining the engraving only intensifies that effect.
Directly below the center setting, the space is filled with heart and scroll-shaped filigree made from 18k yellow gold. The heart sits under the center sapphire, while the scrolls are paired with the side diamonds, and the use of the warmer yellow gold really helps the filigree stand out.

Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
