Center Setting
At the top of this ring, a one carat round brilliant cut diamond is held in a four prong platinum setting, and the way the setting is open on the ring fronts provides a clear view of the gorgeous stone from multiple angles. This arrangement also ensures that plenty of light can reach the diamond, helping to increase its brilliance.
Diamond and Milgrain
The shank shoulders are lined with round bright cut set diamonds, and these taper in size moving away from the center, following the narrowing of the band. There are six accent diamonds on each side, totaling 0.33 carats combined, and they’re lined with milgrain beading as well for a touch of vintage flair. Vintage Engagement Rings
Custom Hand Engraving and Band Design
This ring includes what’s commonly referred to as a Euroshank design, which features a thickening at two points towards the bottom that form soft corners. The shape this creates for the band helps to balance out a large center, and it also keeps the ring from spinning on the finger when worn.
The band tapers gradually moving down the sides, giving it a delicate and elegant look. Further reinforcing this effect is the addition of custom hand engraving in a wheat style that covers the top of the ring below the accent diamonds, as well as the ring fronts all the way up to the center setting. The hand-engraved sections are lined with milgrain beading, and all of these fine metalwork details stop at the corners of the Euroshank, creating nice, balanced look.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
