Custom Diamond And Blue Sapphire Halo Engagement Ring
Item #102889 $5,721 Price does not include center stoneEngagement Ring Description
Center Diamond and Halo
The main diamond in this ring is 1.31 carats and radiant cut. It’s double prong set in platinum at the center of a squared halo of blue sapphires, and the contrast with the rich blue of these accent stones only helps intensify its gorgeous sparkle. The sapphires themselves were specially cut so that they fit seamlessly together in the halo, creating an unbroken ring of blue around the diamond.
Diamond and Milgrain Accents
At the top of the cathedral shank shoulders, a leaf shape creates the bridge from band to main setting. A single round diamond is bright cut set in the center of this detail on each side, and this adds a lovely sparkle along with a bit of vintage flair.
The vintage theme is also enhanced by the addition of milgrain accents surrounding the halo, lining the basket, and on the edges of the band. The vintage look was really what the clients were after, and we made sure every detail was consistent with this style. Vintage Engagement Rings
Custom Filigree and Hand Engraving
An elegant hand-engraved wheat pattern covers the top and fronts of the band, and we used the same pattern on the matching wedding band that we later made for this same couple. To ensure a perfect match for the engraving, we had to borrow the engagement ring during the production of the wedding band, and this also enabled us to contour the wedding band so the two would fit seamlessly together. Matching Wedding Sets
The basket below the main setting is another custom touch, as it’s formed from hand-made filigree lined with milgrain. Both the filigree and engraving can be customized to include a pattern or symbol with personal significance to you and your partner, and this gives you a wonderful way to add special meaning to your wedding set.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
