Center Diamond

At the top of this ring, a 3.50 carat round brilliant cut diamond sits in a four prong platinum setting that arises directly from the top surface of the wide band below. The diamond is exactly as wide as the band, and it produces a brilliant sparkle from every side thanks to the openness of the setting. The prongs holding the diamond all emerge from the same spot on the top of the band, and they follow the contours of the stone closely on the way up, helping to highlight its elegant lines. Band Design and Diamond Accents

The band is the same width all the way around, and its top surface holds four parallel rows of split prong set diamond accents that continue down to the three-quarter point on each side. These provide a dazzling sparkle and truly glamorous flair, while also shining additional light up onto the center diamond from below. The width of the band and the rows of diamonds contribute substantially to the contemporary overtones of the design. One of a Kind Engagement Rings

Customization Options

If you’d like to customize a ring like this, one good place to start might be with the width of the band itself. The right dimension here will be determined by whatever’s most comfortable for you, and a narrower band may also hold fewer rows of diamond accents. Depending on your personal preference, you may or may not want to keep the same relationship between the diameter of the center diamond and the width of the band, and you could experiment with the different looks produced by using rose or yellow gold for the setting as well.

Customize

Use this design as a starting point for a custom piece.

Discuss the stones, metal, proportions, setting and finish with a designer, online or in our Seattle and Bellevue showrooms. You can bring reference photographs or your own stone for us to assess.

  1. Design and estimate

The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.

  2. 3D design review

After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.

  3. Physical model

A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.

  4. Approval and production

The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.

Quality

Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

Structure and support

Diamond and gemstone selection
We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
Final inspection
Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
