After beginning the design process in person in our Bellevue, WA showroom, we continued to communicate about the specifics of the piece online, sharing models and ideas back and forth until we had everything exactly right. Our client enjoyed everything about the design process, and he was completely satisfied with the ring we created for him.
Center Setting and Diamond Accents
At the top of this ring is a six prong setting made of 18k rose gold that perfectly cradles a round brilliant cut diamond. Our client was very involved in both the selection of the diamond and the designing of the setting itself, which helped to bring even greater personal significance to the piece. Each of the two prongs on the fronts of the ring also features two small bright cut diamond accents, and these mirror the accent stones that run down the shoulders of the shank as well. That added detail really gives the piece a nice balance, as well as an unexpected sparkle from the side.
The diamonds running down the top of the band itself taper in size as they move away from the main stone, and this was done in order to accommodate the specific shape the client wanted for the lower part of the band. Like the diamonds on the fronts of the ring, these are round and bright cut set, which adds to the overall classical feel of the piece.
Milgrain and Hand Engraving
A delicate milgrain beading frames the accent diamonds on the shank shoulders, and this reinforces the classical theme as well. But the finishing touch is a beautiful hand engraved pattern that fills the space in the middle of the band just below where the accent diamonds end. It also wraps around to the sides of the ring and extends up part of the way towards the top, helping to give the piece a nice overall balance.
The client had significant input into every detail of this design. We went through several different rounds of models until we had all of the features he wanted and exactly the shape that he liked. Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.

Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
