This dazzling engagement ring features a round diamond half bezel set at the top, with tapering bright cut set diamonds down the shoulders of the polished white gold shank. After discussing his vision with one of our designers, we created a CAD model of his piece, and he quickly approved it. He did want to see a wax representation of the ring as well before we began production on it, and so we let him know when it was ready so he could stop by to take a look.
Center Diamond and Accents
The centerpiece of this ring is a one carat round brilliant cut diamond, and it’s framed beautifully by the 18k gold of the half bezel setting it’s held in. This setting cradles the top and bottom of the stone, while leaving its sides open, and this enables more light to reach the diamond, helping to increase its brilliance.
The open sides of the setting also facilitate a smooth transition into the accent diamonds that line the shank shoulders. These are round and bright cut set, and they taper in size to match the narrowing of the band as they move away from the top. Band Design
The band itself is flat and polished on the bottom, with a slight thickening around the three-quarter point on each side to create a Euroshank design. This partial squaring of the bottom of the ring helps to keep it from spinning the finger when worn, and it flows nicely with the clean lines of the rest of the band as well.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
