It was created for a client from Los Angeles, CA, who worked with our team in person in our Bellevue, WA showroom as well as online to finalize the details of the design. Center Diamond
The centerpiece of this ring is a 1.31 carat emerald cut diamond that the client had previously purchased. It’s set in four talon prongs made of 18k rose gold, and these curl up around the clipped corners of the stone, helping to highlight its lovely contours. The diamond is rectangular, and it’s set lengthwise across the band, placing it inline with the finger when worn.
Diamond Accents
There are 46 accent diamonds in this ring, all of which are round and split prong set. These run down both shank shoulders, stopping at about the mid-point on each side. They also line the bar that encircles the center diamond about half-way down the center setting in the gallery, adding a lovely glamorous flair and a bit of surprise sparkle. Unique Engagement Rings
Customization Options
In developing this design, the client drew primarily from one inspiration piece, while borrowing the prong shape from another. This is one method to take when you’re beginning the custom design process yourself, and so if you like this style band but find a center setting on another piece that you love, we can put the two together for you.
You can also adapt this ring by using a different shape stone in the center. An oval or marquise diamond would still have the elongating effect but with different underlying aesthetics, while a round diamond might take the piece in a more classical direction. Using a different setting style for the accent stones is another option, or you could switch to a different color metal to change the contrast dynamics present.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.

- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
