Description
This stunning engagement ring features a round brilliant cut diamond prong set in the center of a halo of round bright cut set diamonds, with additional diamond accents on the criss-cross rose gold shank below. It was created for a couple from Bellevue, WA at the same time as we made a men’s wedding ring for them, and they came into our Bellevue, WA showroom several times during the custom design process to ensure every detail was perfect. Center Setting and Halo
At the center of this ring, a 0.45 carat round brilliant cut diamond is prong set in 14k rose gold, and it sits in the center of a halo of bright cut set diamond accents. The halo is perfectly round, as is the diamond, helping to highlight the elegant shape of this beautiful center stone. The sides of the halo hold round bright cut set diamond accents as well, adding a lovely sparkle and glamorous flair to the design. Halo Engagement Rings
The halo style is a popular choice for engagement rings, and it can help make the center diamond seem larger. It can also increase the brilliance of the main diamond by reflecting light back up onto it from below, and it gives the design an overall classical style.
Diamond Accents and Band Design
Round bright cut set diamonds run down both strands of the split rose gold shank, tying in nicely with the main setting while also helping to highlight the elegant criss-cross movement of the shank. The band is a solid piece across the bottom, but it widens significantly moving up the side before splitting into two strands about two-thirds of the way down each side. Rose Gold Engagement Rings
The point of the split is also the spot where the accent diamonds begin, and they run all the way up along each strand until they reach the center setting. The strands themselves move outward slightly before angling back and crossing over each other on the way to meet the undersides of the halo, and a small additional branch splits off lower down right as this cross-over occurs, adding a delicate intricacy and just a hint more sparkle to the design.
