This dazzling engagement ring features a radiant cut diamond in a talon prong setting, surrounded by a halo of split prong set diamonds, and accented by bright cut set diamonds running down the shoulders of the tapered platinum shank. Center Setting and Halo
At the heart of this design is a 1.21 carat radiant cut diamond, and it’s cradled in a platinum talon prong setting. These prongs curl up over the cropped corners of the diamond, adding an elegant and striking dimension to the piece. Their steep taper also works well with the angular cut of the stone, and the combination of features helps to enhance the beauty of each. Diamond Engagement Rings
A halo of split prong set diamonds surrounds the center, and it follows the contours of the larger diamond precisely. This feature brings a glamorous sparkle to the design on its own, and the additional light reflected up onto the center diamond by the halo also helps increase that stone’s brilliance. Band Design and Diamond Accents
The band is flat on top, and it maintains a consistent width down to the mid-point on each side, below which it tapers a bit until reaching its narrowest point across the bottom. Two lines of bright cut set diamonds line each shank shoulder, and these bring a classical elegance and hint of glamour to the design as well.
All together, there are 60 accent diamonds in this ring, and they combine to total 0.18 carats. Their visual impact is enhanced by the silvery shine of the platinum they’re set in, and the particular choice of setting styles helps to complete the classic look the client was going for.

Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
