Description
This elegant engagement ring features a round diamond set in a floral center, with bezel set tanzanite accents worked into an organic band. The design was developed for a client from Bellevue, WA, who wanted to create a ring that reflected the natural beauty of water lilies. We worked with him online and in person in our Bellevue, WA showroom to build this design and select the perfect stones to fit it, and he was completely satisfied with the result in every way.

Floral Center
The floral nature of this ring design was the client’s primary concern, and so we set the center diamond in the middle of a flower for a truly unique and organic look. The diamond is held in place with four prongs, and the way these come out of the surrounding flower petals helps to reinforce the organic theme. Diamond Engagement Rings
Including a diamond here is a nod towards the traditional when it comes to engagement rings, as diamonds have long served to represent unparalleled beauty, passionate love, and romance. It also adds a bit of sparkle to the design, and it helps to emphasize the floral motif.
Tanzanite Accents
In keeping with the water lily theme, the client requested that the accent stones worked into each shank shoulder be blue tanzanites to represent water. These exhibit a wonderful clear blue color that contrasts nicely with the sparkling white of the diamond and of the white gold used to make the band.
Organic Shank
The design of the shank itself also includes organic elements, including leaf and vine shapes that complete the floral look. This type of custom metalwork is a great way to include unique features in your ring, as the client did here. Even small adjustments to the design can have a significant impact on the overall appearance of the piece.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
