(item # 102600)(price does not include center stone)
This stunning solitaire engagement ring features a round brilliant cut diamond in a four prong platinum setting atop a tapered shank. It was created for a client from Bellevue, WA, who visited our showroom to view various pieces and decide what styles he liked. We consulted with him on this initial visit, and he eventually chose a piece that he wanted to customize.
We adjusted the design of the ring he saw in the showroom to meet his specifications, and more specifically to accommodate the size of diamond he wanted to use. After viewing our CAD models, he approved our design, and we turned his project over to our expert artisans to begin production. Design Your Own Engagement Ring
In order to be considered a solitaire, a ring can only have one gemstone, which is usually a diamond. This style is a very traditional choice for an engagement ring, and it can make for an elegant and graceful piece as well. Solitaire Engagement Rings
The diamond in this ring is 1.77 carats and round brilliant cut. It was supplied by the client, and its stunning fire is clearly displayed thanks to the open, four prong setting rising up from the cathedral shank. The prongs themselves are rotated 45 degrees from a standard placement, so that two are inline with the shank and the other two are at the top and bottom of the diamond. This is a small touch that makes a big difference in the overall appearance of the ring.
The shank itself is tapered, and it gradually widens as it moves away from the center setting. The widest point is in the middle of the band, and it narrows again slightly going towards the bottom, although not as much as it does at the top. This is an elegant design that complements the center setting nicely and doesn’t take away at all from the stunning diamond at the top.
