We adjusted the design of the ring he saw in the showroom to meet his specifications, and more specifically to accommodate the size of diamond he wanted to use. Diamond Solitaire
In order to be considered a solitaire, a ring can only have one gemstone, which is usually a diamond. This style is a very traditional choice for an engagement ring, and it can make for an elegant and graceful piece as well. Diamond Engagement Rings
The diamond in this ring is 1.77 carats and round brilliant cut. It was supplied by the client, and its stunning fire is clearly displayed thanks to the open, four prong setting rising up from the cathedral shank. The prongs themselves are rotated 45 degrees from a standard placement, so that two are inline with the shank and the other two are at the top and bottom of the diamond. This is a small touch that makes a big difference in the overall appearance of the ring.
Tapered Shank
The shank itself is tapered, and it gradually widens as it moves away from the center setting. The widest point is in the middle of the band, and it narrows again slightly going towards the bottom, although not as much as it does at the top. This is an elegant design that complements the center setting nicely and doesn’t take away at all from the stunning diamond at the top.
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.

I bought my fiancé's ring here. The customer service is fantastic! I worked with Andrea and Bobby and both of them did an amazing job walking me through the design process as well as helping me make an informed decision. They were never pushy or hurry me to make a decision, but instead they did a great job making sure I understood and I was happy with my choices. The ring came up beautiful, but it was a little bit big so I went there and they took care of it without any extra cost. I highly recommend it.
