Description
This elegant engagement ring features a marquise diamond solitaire bezel set in a unique white gold shank. It was created for a client from Nederland, TX, who contacted us online to share his vision for the ring he wanted. His idea was to have the center setting resemble a crashing wave, with the diamond as the foam, and using this as inspiration, we created two sketches for him of potential designs.

Once he had selected the option he preferred, we made a more detailed version of the design in CAD, which we shared with him online. He quickly approved the model, allowing us to move his piece into production. Design Your Own Engagement Ring
Solitaire Diamond
The stone at the center of this ring is a 0.34 carat marquise shaped diamond. It’s held in a modified bezel setting that arises naturally from the unique 14k white gold band, and the way the metal curves around the diamond accentuates its lovely shape. Solitaire Engagement Rings
Wrapped Setting
The design of the setting is intended to resemble the lines of a crashing wave, just as the client requested, and this brings an innovative twist to the traditional diamond solitaire engagement ring design. It’s an excellent example of the way you can add a personal touch to your own custom piece, and even if you don’t have as clear a vision as this client did, our team of experts will guide and advise you throughout the process.
Custom Engagement Rings
If you’d like to customize this particular design, there are quite a few options available to you. For instance, you could select a different type of gemstone to replace the diamond. Sapphires are the most popular alternative to diamonds when it comes to engagement rings, and they come in a wide range of colors. That means you can choose a color with special significance to you and your partner, adding extra meaning to an already special ring.
Alternately, you could choose to go with a different type of metal to add some contrast, and both rose and yellow gold are good options in that regard. They both also bring some classical flair with them as well thanks to their warmer tones, and custom hand engraving is another option if there is a pattern or symbol you’d like to incorporate as well.
