Three Stone Setting
The centerpiece of this ring is a round brilliant cut diamond in a four prong platinum setting. It’s joined on either side by a round blue sapphire, and these are both prong set as well. The contrast between the rich blue of the sapphire and the brilliant white of the diamond is what gives this piece so much character, and the relationship helps enhance the beauty of each. Band Design
The band itself is tapered slightly, narrowing as it nears the connection with the center setting. On the fronts of the ring, the criss-cross of the trellis is visible, formed as the prongs rise up and curve past each other to reach the gemstones at the top. These graceful lines give the ring wonderful character, and they help reinforce the classical flair of the design.
Personal Touches
There are many ways to put your personal touch on a piece like this, and our experts will help you navigate the custom design process, providing only as much guidance as you need. We can show you examples of different styles and features if you’re not sure exactly how to get the look you’re after, and we’ll revise our CAD models until you’re confident we’ve captured your vision exactly. Design Your Own Engagement Ring
Some options for customizing a piece like this include using a different color sapphire in the side positions, using rose or yellow gold in place of platinum, and adjusting the types of settings used for some or all of the gemstones. Any one of these changes would have a dramatic impact on the overall look and style of the piece while still keeping the underlying structure the same, and there are many other ways you can use this as a jumping off point to create your dream ring.

Customize
Use this design as a starting point for a custom piece.
Discuss the stones, metal, proportions, setting and finish with a designer, online or in our Seattle and Bellevue showrooms. You can bring reference photographs or your own stone for us to assess.
Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
