Description

This gorgeous engagement ring features a center cushion cut diamond flanked by two trillion cut stones, all set in 14k white gold. It was created in collaboration with a client from Downers Grove, IL, who worked closely with our design team over a period of several weeks to ensure we had all the right elements in place to produce just the look he wanted.

Center Diamond

The main stone in this ring is a 1.40 carat cushion cut diamond, held securely in a four prong setting above a tapered cathedral shank. The open setting used in this ring really shows off the beauty of the center stone and the quality of the cut, which was something that was very important to the client.

The cushion cut used here is a classic choice that first gained popularity in the 1800s, and it gives the ring a truly elegant and vintage feel. However, if you’d like to customize this design to make it better reflect your style, you could choose to go with a traditional princess cut, or with a round cut for a more modern look. Trillion Side Stones

Two trillion cut diamonds sit on either side of the center stone, and the added sparkle they bring to the ring only helps accentuate the beauty of the diamond solitaire. These diamonds are gorgeous in their own right, of course, and their shape works well to unite the top portion of the ring with the tapered shoulders of the shank below. Three-stone Rings Collection

Trillion diamonds are some of the most expensive and sought-after stones on the market, and there are many factors that affect the quality of their appearance. For instance, the alignment of the facets, width of the stone, symmetry, and the polish all need to be just right to give you the best possible appearance for your piece. Our diamond experts know exactly how to select these types of stones so that you get the maximum brilliance and fire possible.

Customize

Use this design as a starting point for a custom piece.

Discuss the stones, metal, proportions, setting and finish with a designer, online or in our Seattle and Bellevue showrooms. You can bring reference photographs or your own stone for us to assess.

  1. Design and estimate

The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.

  2. 3D design review

After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.

  3. Physical model

A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.

  4. Approval and production

The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.

Quality

Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

Diamond and gemstone selection
We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
Final inspection
Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
