If you’re ready to begin the custom design process, or if you just want to get a feel for how it all works, you can visit our Bellevue, WA or Seattle, WA showroom in person or reach out to us through our website. We’ll walk you through exactly what to expect at every step along the way, and we’ll use all of the technological tools at our disposal to ensure that you can visualize and approve every detail of your design before we ever cast anything in metal.
Diamond Solitaire
The only gemstone in this ring is a large oval diamond that’s cradled in a four-prong setting made of 14k yellow gold. It’s rotated so that it lies lengthwise in line with the band, and that helps to magnify its visual impact. It’s also an unconventional positioning for an oval stone, as gems with this type of elongated shape typically are placed perpendicularly across the band to lie in line with the finger. Below the diamond, a stylized gallery rail provides structural support and a touch of intricacy in the otherwise minimalist design. The rail runs between the prongs on the lower half of the center setting, and it forms a V shape there that mirrors the shape of the underside of the diamond.
Customization Options
If you’re interested in customizing this ring, you could begin by choosing a different type of metal. For instance, going with white gold or platinum would bring the design a more contemporary look overall, while switching to rose gold could add some vintage overtones to go with the classic styling of the piece generally.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
