Description
This custom engagement ring was designed for our clients from Bellevue, Washington, with a 3.24 carat radiant cut diamond at the center. The stone is held in a lotus-style basket, giving the profile a soft, sculpted shape while keeping the center open and visually prominent. On the front and back of the basket, a small peekaboo diamond adds a subtle point of sparkle that is revealed from a finger view rather than from the top.

The band is set with a flow of 28 diamond melees totaling approximately .38 carats, extending about three-quarters of the way down the shank. That coverage gives the ring a continuous line of light while still leaving a smooth section at the base for future sizing, comfort, long-term wear. The pave detail supports the center without competing with it, which is especially important with a radiant cut of this scale.
Radiant cut diamonds have a very different personality from step cuts such as emerald or Asscher. Their facet pattern is designed to break light into many smaller flashes, so the stone tends to look lively and energetic as the hand moves. The clipped corners give the shape a clean outline, while the brilliant-style faceting inside creates a more scattered play of sparkle. It is a good fit for someone who likes a polished look but does not want the ring to feel too quiet or restrained. There is a little more energy to a radiant, which often appeals to someone confident, expressive, and drawn to jewelry with a stronger presence.
This design can also be personalized in different directions. A sleek band would make the center feel even more dominant, while a wider shank could give the ring a stronger overall presence. The peekaboo diamonds could be replaced with birthstones for a more personal detail, or the basket could be simplified for a cleaner profile. Options are endless!

Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.

Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
