Description
This elegant engagement ring features a princess cut diamond prong set in platinum at the top accented by two princess cut blue sapphires, all of which is perched atop a narrow platinum band. It was created for a couple from Seattle, WA who visited our showroom in person to view example pieces and share their ideas with our team. They returned several times throughout the custom design process to evaluate diamond options in person, and we collaborated with them extensively online as well.

Center Diamond and Sapphire Accents
The only diamond in this ring is a 1.5 carat princess cut diamond, and it's elevated above the band by four platinum prongs that rise up to meet it at each of its elegant corners. One of the only modifications our CAD models that the clients made was to request that the prongs be thinned, and that the stone raised up slightly so as to increase its already impressive presence within the design. Design Your Own Engagement Ring
On each ring front, a princess cut blue sapphire is bezel set and rotated so that its corners are at the compass positions. The tops of the bezel settings of the sapphires just overlap the tip of the diamond, providing for a seamless presentation for both and a nice balance for the center setting overall. Completing that balanced look are the cathedral shoulders of the delicate shank that rise up to meet the center setting about half-way to the top of the stone on each side.
Customization Engagement Rings
In designing this piece, the clients drew their inspiration from several different pieces they saw in our showroom, including rings #104091 and #104266. By choosing features they liked from each of these existing designs and then adding their own personal touches, they were able to work with our team to develop a unique piece that's truly one-of-a-kind. This is a wonderful way to give such an already special ring even greater personal significance, and our experts are committed to continuing to revise and update our designs until you're positive they're perfect in every way.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
