Center Diamond
The center diamond in this ring is 1.24 carats and round brilliant cut. The four prong setting holding it in place arises naturally from the lower portion of the shank, with the strands from both sides crossing over each other once on their way to the top. This gives a clear view of the diamond on both ring fronts, and it also gives the piece a subtle yet graceful elegance. Custom Engagement Rings
Shank Design and Diamond Accents
This ring features a flat band that widens every so slightly as it nears the main setting. At about the half-way point, rows of diamond accents begin, and the settings for this define the shape of the rest of the shank.
In the center row, five round diamonds that taper slightly in size are channel set, which places them a bit below the surface of the band. It also gives the appearance of open space around them, although there is a solid band running underneath them all the way to the top as well.
Each shank shoulder also features two rows of split prong set diamonds, which frame the channel set diamonds perfectly while also adding some sparkle of their own. The diamonds in these outer rows are much smaller than those in the middle, and their juxtaposition helps give a satisfying overall balance to the design.
