Description
This elegant engagement ring features a round emerald prong set in the center of a halo of split prong set diamonds, with additional diamond accents on the tapered white gold shank. It was created for a client from Bend, OR, who visited our Bellevue, WA showroom to get the custom design process started.

Once we had a clear idea about the type of ring he wanted, we put together a CAD model that we then posted to the online workroom we created for the project. He was able to view the model here and request any changes, and we also posted photos of the gemstone options available so that he could choose the emerald he wanted for the center.
Emerald Center
A round 0.74 carat emerald anchors this piece, and it is prong set in 14k white gold. The lovely green color contrasts brilliantly with both the silvery white gold and the diamond accents surrounding the center. It was the smaller of the two options we presented the client with, but it was also clearly the more striking and cleaner stone, and he decided it was the perfect centerpiece for this ring.
Diamonds have long been the most popular choice when it comes to the main position in engagement rings. They’re far from the only options, however, and using a colored gemstone like this emerald is a wonderful way to bring some color to your piece while also including something of personal significance. Diamond Halo and Accents
A halo of split prong set diamonds surrounds the center emerald, and its slightly squared contours bring a hint of art deco flair to this classically-inspired piece. The diamonds in the halo also help the center emerald shine more brightly thanks to the extra light their sparkle sends its way.
Split prong set diamonds run down the shoulders of the shank, tapering slightly as it reaches the top. These accent stones help unite the two separate sections of the ring, and they stop right at the mid-point on the band. Design Your Own Engagement Ring

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
