This exquisite engagement ring features a princess cut diamond prong set and surrounded by a halo of bright cut set diamonds, with additional diamond accents and hand engraving on the band. It was created as part of a custom set for a client from Burien, WA, who came to us hoping to have a truly dazzling piece made to complete his perfect proposal.

This ring shares many features with the companion wedding band, and we coordinated with our client both online and in person in our Bellevue, WA showroom to make sure we had every detail exactly right.
Center Setting
The main diamond in this ring is a beautiful half carat princess cut stone that’s raised slightly above the surface of the surrounding diamond halo by four white gold prongs. The diamond’s square shape is mirrored by the halo, which features bright cut set diamonds lined with milgrain, both on the top and on the sides of the main setting for a truly glamorous look. Diamond and Milgrain Accents
Bright cut set diamonds also run down both strands of the split shank, and the milgrain continues here as well. The use of this type of setting, coupled with the milgrain and the squared main stone give the ring a decidedly vintage flair.
These details are also present in the companion wedding bands, which ensures they create a genuinely stunning display when worn together. There is also a bezel set round brilliant cut diamond on each ring front just below the main setting for a bit of surprise sparkle.
Hand Engraving
The fronts of the shank are covered in a intricate pattern of hand-engraving that our skilled artisans completed by hand after all other parts of the ring had been finished. It’s an elegant and sophisticated style that also requires superior skill to execute properly, and our experts have that in abundance.
Because it’s completed by hand, this type of engraving can be customized to include a wide variety of patterns and designs, so you can pick something that has special meaning for you. After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
