Sapphire Center

At the center of this ring is a 0.74 carat round yellow sapphire. It’s held in place by four palladium prongs, which originate in the halo that surrounds the center stone. Sapphires have long been used as an alternative to diamonds in engagement rings, and the wide variety of colors they come in gives you the opportunity to choose one with special meaning for you and your partner. Sapphire Engagement Rings

In fact, this is a great place to start when you’re thinking about customizing a ring like this. For instance, you could choose to go with a pink sapphire rather than the yellow to add some romantic overtones while still keeping the floral themes consistent. Other color options include blue, green, white, and purple, and there are a wide variety of shades within each color group. One of a Kind Engagement Rings

Diamond Halo and Shank

Surrounding the large sapphire in the center is a halo of shared prong set diamonds, which adds a lovely contrast as well as a dazzling and glamorous sparkle. There are two different sizes of diamonds in the halo, and these are arranged in an alternating pattern to help enhance the floral look of the piece.

The prongs that hold the halo diamonds curve outward and up from the band, creating an ornate basket under the center setting. The shank below is relatively narrow, and it features a knife edge, which gives it a delicate appearance that ensures the large center setting remains the main focus of the piece.

Customize

Use this design as a starting point for a custom piece.

Discuss the stones, metal, proportions, setting and finish with a designer, online or in our Seattle and Bellevue showrooms. You can bring reference photographs or your own stone for us to assess.

  1. Design and estimate

The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.

  2. 3D design review

After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.

  3. Physical model

A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.

  4. Approval and production

The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
