Halo Design

The halo diamonds alternate between small and large, set together using shared prongs. This is considered a cluster design, which is when different sizes or shapes come together in a more mismatched way and utilize shared prongs. On this ring, the cluster gives a look of a starburst or snowflake. Unique Engagement Rings

Hearts & Arrows Melee

The diamonds in this halo are Hearts & Arrows quality and equal .26 ctw. This is the highest possible quality Joseph Jewelry offers for melee accent diamonds. For each of these tiny diamonds, a Hearts & Arrows pattern can be seen, indicating it is one of the most exact cut diamonds in the world. The clarity and color are also top grades at D-G color and VS clarity. These Hearts & Arrows diamonds sparkle far beyond every other grade and are rarely offered at most jewelers.

Low Profile Shank Design

The shank, or body, of this ring is a polished knife-edge style that holds the head of the ring low. The client wanted the design to be as low as possible so the cluster prongs wouldn't catch on anything. The knife-edge is a shank style that shows a defined peak parallel to the length of the band with two flat sides. Halo Engagement Rings

Customization

There are many ways to customize this ring. One could use various gemstones from the same color family to create a multi-colored cluster halo. Alternatively, one could keep a diamond halo and use a brilliantly colored sapphire in the center. It's also possible to add hand engraving or more accent diamonds on the shank. Whatever your style, our team is here to help you customize your ring exactly how you want it.

Customize

Use this design as a starting point for a custom piece.

Discuss the stones, metal, proportions, setting and finish with a designer, online or in our Seattle and Bellevue showrooms. You can bring reference photographs or your own stone for us to assess.

  1. Design and estimate

The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.

  2. 3D design review

After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.

  3. Physical model

A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.

  4. Approval and production

The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.

Quality

Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

Structure and support
The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
Diamond and gemstone selection
We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
Final inspection
Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
