Designing your own ring is relaxed and straightforward. First, our experienced designers will create a concept model with the ideas you have in mind. Then, we will build a 3d CAD model with the exact proportions of the piece, and you can request a wax model so you can see the dimensions on your hand. At this point, we will also source a center stone for you and present it for approval. You can make unlimited modifications in the CAD modeling phase. Finally, once you're 100% satisfied with the model and center stone, we will create the ring in precious metal and gemstones.
Oval Center Diamond
The center of this ring is a 1.50 carat oval diamond. Our designers can source both lab grown and natural oval diamonds. This shape tends to elongate the wearer's finger and pairs well with any ring setting. This diamond is held in place by four traditional prongs that meet together at the top of the polished band. Hidden Halo
Under the oval diamond, there is a hidden halo. A hidden halo is made up of tiny diamonds set facing outward and tucked under the center stone, adding extra light reflection and sparkle. One of a Kind Engagement Rings
Customization
This ring can be created with any shape, size, and gemstone. To add more sparkle, you could have diamonds set along the band, or add hand engraving for a vintage look. Colored gemstones could also be set in the hidden halo.

After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
