The custom design process can be started by customizing an existing design, combining two designs, or starting completely from scratch. Our team will gather your ideas and produce a CAD model, and you can request as many changes as needed. When you're 100% happy with the design, our expert jewelers will bring it to life in precious metals and gemstones.
Oval Diamond Center
The center of this ring is an oval diamond. It weighs 1.25 carats and is positioned lengthwise along the finger. Our design team can source a natural diamond, lab-grown diamond, or a moissanite for the center of this design and we'll source the best quality for your value range. Diamond Engagement Rings
Two-tone Metal
The band of the ring is polished rose gold. The head is white gold with traditional prongs and a bright cut set hidden halo underneath the diamond around the prongs. The white gold will allow the center diamond to sparkle as white as possible. This ring can be created in any precious metal type in two-tone or a single tone. One of a Kind Engagement Rings

This ring can be customized in many ways. You could add hand engraving for a vintage-inspired look. Alternatively, with the polished shank, you could add a second hidden halo for a unique modern look.

After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
