Design Your Own Engagement Ring
Six-prong Setting
The one-carat round brilliant cut diamond at the top of this ring is held in a six-prong setting made of 18k white gold. Two of the prongs sit in line with the band, while the other four are evenly spaced around the stone relative to these points. This arrangement creates a slightly floral feel for the center, which is only enhanced by the design of the lower portion of the setting. Diamond Engagement Rings
The prongs that hold this center diamond are formed from U-shaped strands that sit side-by-side and continue all the way around the stone. Below this, a pattern of loops fills the space between the bridge piece connecting the two sides of the shank and the underside of the prongs, and this design helps enhance the floral overtones established above.
Band Design
The band tapers slightly, both as it reaches the side of the center setting and as it nears the bottom of the ring. It also features a knife edge detail, which enhances its delicate look and adds a sharpness to the taper.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
