Center Sapphire and Halo
The cushion shaped blue sapphire at the heart of this ring is 1.09 carats, and it’s prong set in platinum in the center of a halo of round bright cut set accent diamonds. While the center sapphire features the rounded corners and gently curved edges typical of a cushion cut, the halo is perfectly square, creating a subtle contrast and introducing art deco overtones. Diamond and Milgrain Accents
Bright cut set diamonds also run down the shoulders of the shank to the mid-point on the band, helping to forge a connection between the upper and lower portions of the ring. They add a glamorous sparkle as well, and they’re lined with milgrain beading to help reinforce the vintage style of the design.
The milgrain also extends down around the sections of custom hand engraving, which can be found on the fronts of the ring, the sides of the halo, and the top of the band below where the diamond accents stop. This engraving is an adaptation of a classic wheat pattern, and thanks to the exquisite skill of our master engraver, we can customize it to include a wide range of patterns and symbols of your choosing.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
Lifetime warranty and care

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
