This charming three-stone engagement ring was designed for our clients from Seattle, WA who visited us in-store and followed up on their project online. They were seeking a new engagement ring to fit with their existing wedding band. Since our process is fully custom and personal, our designers helped our clients achieve a perfect look, with both rings sitting flush against each other.

Three Stone Style in Cathedral Setting

A trinity ring is known for symbolizing the past, present and future, adding an extra dimension to a timeless love story. At the core of this dainty engagement ring lies a 1.32 carat marquise set lengthwise across the sleek 14k yellow gold band. Three Stone Engagement Rings

Marquise cuts are famous for the optical illusion of a larger carat weight when compared to the same diamond size on a round or square cut. This trait is inherited from the fact that marquise cut gemstones surface area is spread out along its length. Another perk of this underrated cut is adding a flattering touch to the fingers thanks to its narrow, elongated shape which also makes the fingers appear slenderer.

Flanking the main gemstone are two tapered baguette diamonds of approximately .17 carats total tension set and between the top of the band and the side of the center setting. This latter is securely held in place by 6 petite claw prongs, 4 of which are placed in a way to support the tapered baguette side stones. To complete the look and address our clients’ main goal, our designers went for a cathedral setting which allowed both rings to flawlessly match with no undesired gaps between the bands.

Customization

If you’re in love with the marquise cut but seeking a bolder look, you can go for larger side stones and replace the tapered baguette accents with shield diamonds. Their pointed tip set facing out towards the shank will create a sharper, more daring look. Design Your Own
