Two-tone Padparadscha Sapphire And Diamond Engagement Ring
Item #104861Engagement Ring Description
The initial designs involved half moon diamond accent stones, but after collaborating with our designers, the client tried a few different accent shapes, and decided on the smaller marquise shapes. We printed wax models of each option, which helped aid in the decision. Our custom design process allowed them to see the different models in comparison. Design Your Own Engagement Ring
Padparadscha Sapphire Center
A Padparadscha sapphire is one of the most rare colors of sapphire. It is pinkish-orange, sometimes salmon-colored, and usually from Sri Lanka. These specific sapphires sometimes have uneven coloring, with spots of yellow and pink along with the salmon color. The name means “aquatic lotus blossom”, and this ring's center is truly a unique gem because of it's 3.38 carat size, cut, and color. Sapphire and Diamond Engagement Rings
The client chose to have the basket of the ring cast in rose gold to better accentuate the colors of the sapphire, while the rest of the ring is cast in platinum to let the icy diamonds sparkle. Claw prongs hold the center stone in place.
Diamond Accents
There are many different diamond elements on this ring's design that work together to create a truly unique piece. Underneath the center, there are four tiny diamonds adding extra sparkle to the rose gold basket. Framing the center stone, there are three marquise diamonds on each side, set East-West to point towards the center sapphire. Then, after a slight split shank section, pave diamonds run down each shoulder to the three quarter mark, leaving a sizing section, just in case.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
