You can provide any feedback you’d like on our digital models, and we’ll only turn things over to our expert artisans to begin production once you’ve given your explicit approval for us to do so.
Blue Topaz Solitaire
At the top of this ring, a 1.05 carat cushion shaped blue topaz is displayed in a bezel setting made from 14k white gold. The setting follows the lines of the stone exactly, helping to keep it protected while also highlighting its gorgeous shape. The top surface of the topaz is covered by an arrangement of facets that gives it a distinctive checkerboard appearance, which adds to the brilliance of the stone as well. Fashion Rings
Milgrain and Filigree
A double row of milgrain beading runs around the bezel setting of the topaz, bringing a dose of vintage flair to the design. Below that main setting, a filigree basket provides protection for the lower portion of the stone, and it’s highlighted by milgrain as well as larger decorative beads to provide texture and intricacy.
Band Design
The band is narrowest at the top where it meets the sides of the main setting, and it gradually widens on its way to the mid-point on each side, below which it maintains a constant width across the bottom. This narrowing of the band close to the center setting helps make the topaz appear larger, and it adds to the delicacy of the design as well.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
