Description

This unique women’s fashion ring features round diamonds, opals, and a ruby bezel set in platinum in an asymmetrical cluster across the top of the band. It was created as a custom piece for a client, and it’s a lovely choice for an inspiration piece when you’re beginning to develop your own individual design.

To begin the custom design process, you can visit our Bellevue, WA showroom personally, or you can reach out to our team online. We’ll learn as much as we can about your style and feature preferences, and we’ll use that information to develop an original design in CAD. Once you’ve viewed the proofs of the piece as we propose to make it for you, you can provide feedback and request any modifications you’d like. Only once you’re completely satisfied with what we’ve laid out will we turn things over to our expert artisans to begin production. Design Your Own Ring

Clustered Gemstones

There are five white diamonds, one ruby, and two opals in this ring, and they’re all round and bezel set in platinum. They all vary in size slightly as well, and the five diamonds combined total 0.60 carats. The two opals and the ruby are all roughly the same size as each other, and the location of the opals on either side of the gemstone cluster help give the piece a nice balance.

The ruby is positioned near the middle of the cluster, but in keeping with the overall asymmetrical arrangement of the stones, it’s left with two white diamonds on one side and three on the other. Although the opals bring some soft color to the piece, the ruby makes for a more dramatic color contrast and really draws the eye in, making its placement in the center all the more appropriate. Customization Options

If you’re interested in customizing this piece, one good place to start may be the selection of the gemstones themselves. This design can support many diverse combinations of colors, as well as shapes, and this gives you ample opportunity to work in stones with special personal meaning for you. Of course, choosing a different type of metal for the band is an option as well, and you may think about adding some custom hand engraving on the band for an even more personal touch.

Customize

Use this design as a starting point for a custom piece.

Discuss the stones, metal, proportions, setting and finish with a designer, online or in our Seattle and Bellevue showrooms. You can bring reference photographs or your own stone for us to assess.

  1. Design and estimate

The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.

  2. 3D design review

After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.

  3. Physical model

A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.

  4. Approval and production

The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.

We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
