Custom Two-tone Blue Sapphire And Diamond Fashion Ring
Item #102469Fashion Ring Description
To get the custom design process started, she shared some images of rings she liked, as well as the types of stones and colors she wanted her new ring to include, with our team online. We then came up with several different ring options for her, and her feedback on these allowed us to finally settle on this classy and unique design.
Center Diamond and Sapphire Halo
The center stone in this ring was provided by the client, and it’s a 1.51 carat round brilliant cut diamond. It’s held securely by four 14k white gold triple prongs that rise up from the swirling band below and conform to the contours of the stone perfectly.
Surrounding this setting is a looping modified halo of round bright cut set blue sapphires in 14k yellow gold, which is formed out of a continuation of one side of the split two-tone shank. The two sides cross over each other to begin the halo, and they meet seamlessly on the far side of the diamond to complete the loop.
Accent Stones and Band Design
The very bottom of the shank is solid white gold, but the yellow gold portion emerges from that, and the two pieces diverge as they move towards the top of the ring. Just above the half-way point, the yellow gold strands loop back and cross over the white gold, while those segments continue in more of a straight line up to the top where they meet to form the main setting.
The white gold part of the band is not without complexity either, as it twists to create smaller loops on each shank shoulder which hold pear shaped blue sapphires. The white gold strand is also lined with bright cut set diamonds taken from the client’s original ring, and the yellow gold holds bright cut set blue sapphires. These begin at the same point on each strand, about three-quarters of the way down.
Milgrain and Engraving
Both strands of the band are lined from top to bottom with milgrain beading, and their sides are covered with beautiful hand engraving. These details give the ring a decidedly vintage feel, and that works well with the asymmetrical design of the band to create a truly stunning look. Design Your Own Ring

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
