This elegant men’s wedding ring features a mokume gane interior, which is visible through the cut-out wave pattern in the unplated white gold outer band. It can be customized in a variety of ways to make it better represent your personal style and the unique aspects of your relationship. No matter what type of ring you’re looking for, our team will work closely with you to ensure you come away with the piece of your dreams. Design Your Own Wedding Ring
The inner portion of this ring is made of a mixture of 14k palladium white gold, 14k rose gold, and sterling silver. These were combined using the mokume gane technique, which is a specialized forging practice first developed in Japan hundreds of years ago. It involves layering the various metals to be used, and then forging them in a particular way so that they mix together to produce lovely, organic patterns like those seen here.
This process creates a completely unique piece, so including mokume in your ring ensures that it will be truly one-of-a-kind as well. However, if you see a pattern in one of our existing pieces that you like, we can use the same technique to produce about an 80% pattern match. This particular piece of mokume was oxidized to darken the silver, which really helps the pattern stand out by adding a dramatic contrast to the design. Mokume Jewelry
Two bands of unplated white gold run around the outside of this ring, with one on either edge. Both of these have a wave pattern carved into the interior edge, and these run in opposite directions from the band on the other side. The mokume pattern shows through the space between them, and the intricate texture of this inner band, combined with the unique space it’s viewed through, makes this quite an eye-catching piece.
To further accentuate the unique characteristics of each part of this ring, the mokume section is sandblasted, while the white gold exterior features a brushed finish. Although both of these finishes form a matte surface, their consistency is slightly different, creating a subtle contrast that highlights their separation.
Includes: Brushed , Contrasting Finish , Mokume , Sandblasted , White Gold , Two-Tone
To reduce color fading, avoid friction against any surface. Avoid wearing your mokume ring during exercise, construction work, gardening, or other abrasive activities. When owning a mokume gane ring with oxidization, avoid chlorine or other similar chemicals as they eat away the patina.
