Description
This elegant men’s wedding ring features a two-tone band made from a combination of rose gold and unplated white gold, and covered with custom hand engraving. The design was developed for a client from Port Townsend, WA, who initially came into our Bellevue, WA showroom to look at some pieces and get a feel for what he wanted. He then communicated with our staff online to finalize the details of his piece, and once he gave his approval, we moved it into production.

Two-tone Band
The use of the different colored metals in this ring creates a wonderful two-tone look that helps emphasize the separation of the center section from the rails that border it on either side. The 14k rose gold in the middle gives the ring a warm, vintage feel, and the soft champaign color of the unplated 14k white gold on the edges brings just enough contrast to give the ring a nice overall balance.
Hand Engraving
An organic leaf and flower pattern of engraving runs all the way around the center section of the band, and it’s complemented nicely by the simpler flowing pattern on the rails. The client picked the type of engraving he wanted by looking at various other pieces we had available, and our expert artisans were able to perfectly replicate the pattern he chose.
Milgrain beading runs along the outer edges of the ring, and it also lines the center section, helping to frame the engraving and give the piece an overall finished and balanced feel. It also works with the colors of the metal and the style of engraving to push the ring in a more classical direction.

After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
