Band Design
This band is 6mm wide, and the center section is flat, while the beveled rails angle down smoothly to the edge. To further accentuate the separation between these sections, the rails received a high polish finish, while the center area is brushed. The contrasting finishes add some complexity to the design, and this is also one area that you could adjust slightly if you wanted to customize this piece.
For instance, sandblasted or hammered finishes are also an option, and you could switch the placement of the matte and polish to create a unique and stunning look. Alternately, you could go with a single finish for a more uniform presentation. Widening the band is another way to customize it to better suit your style, and if you’re unsure how wide of a piece you prefer, our team will be happy to show you some sample rings to try on.
Flush Set Diamonds
There are six round diamonds flush set in this band, and they’re evenly spaced running all the way around the ring. Our initial design included significantly smaller stones, for a total of 0.12 carats. The client requested to see a revised model with diamonds as large as we could work in without increasing the thickness of the band, and that’s the design he eventually decided to go with.
These diamonds total 0.48 carats all together, and they nearly span the entire center section of the band. Their stunning sparkle is accentuated by the contrast with the matte finish on the top of the ring as well, and their size and placement contributes nicely to the overall balance of the piece.
