Combination Finishes
The uneven, slightly organic surface of this ring is produced by the application of a hammered finish. This gives the piece character without being flashy, and it also introduces some classical overtones. On top of the hammered surface, the use of a sandblasted finish creates a subtle matte effect that works to enhance the organic themes already present.
These are far from the only options when it comes to finishes, however, and switching to either a brushed or polished finish on top of the hammered would subtly but significantly alter the appearance and style of the ring. Design Your Own Wedding Ring

When you think of a wedding set, you may only be envisioning the bride’s rings. But the men’s bands can be designed to incorporate shared elements with the women’s as well. For instance, you can choose to use the same metal for the men’s band as was used for the women’s, or you could opt to integrate a small gemstone on either the inside our outside of the band.
This is an especially nice way to tie in with the other pieces in the wedding set, as a flush set diamond or other gemstone can easily be hidden on the inner portion of the ring. That way, it serves as a special tie that only the two of you know about, helping to highlight the sentiment even more.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
