Band Design
This band is 6mm wide and made of platinum. It’s divided into two general sections, with a raised center section bordered on either side by step-style rails. That design places the top of the inner portion of each rail slightly lower than the center, and the outer section of the rail one more step down from that. This allows the rails to frame the center nicely, while adding a subtle depth and complexity to the design at the same time.
Contrasting Finishes
in order to highlight the differences between the center and rails in this piece, we utilized contrasting finishes to create different textures on the various visible surfaces. On the raised middle section, we applied a sandblasted finish to create a fine-grain matte effect, while the rails were polished to a high shine.
