This elegant men’s wedding ring features a polished and rounded rail inset in the middle of a brushed white gold band, accented with a flush set princess cut diamond. The clients initially visited us in our Bellevue, WA showroom personally to take a look at some sample pieces for inspiration. They found a design they liked on this visit, and they modified this to reflect their personal style and preferences. Matching Wedding Sets
Band Design
This ring is made from 14k white gold, and it’s 8mm wide all the way around. The overall shape is slightly domed, as the sides angle down gently towards the edges. In the center, however, and rounded rail rises out of a deep groove, which leaves the top of the rail flush with the highest point on the rest of the ring.
Contrasting Finishes
To help highlight the subtle design details that make up this piece, we used contrasting finishes on the flat top of the ring and on the rail. This involved creating a brushed matte surface on the majority of the top of the band, while the high polish finish on the rail helps it stand out despite the relatively small amount of space it covers. Flush Set Diamond
A small princess cut diamond is flush set across the rail at the top of this ring, and this helps to create a connection to the women’s rings that complete the set. The inspiration piece the clients used as a basis for this ring had a round diamond in this place, but because the women’s rings used all princess cut diamonds, the clients chose to include one here as well.
Adding a small gemstone like this to your ring is a wonderful way to create a special connection to your partner’s rings. Even if you don’t want to have a gemstone visible on the outside of your piece, you can flush set one on the inner surface, making for an even more personal connection since you will be the only ones who know it’s there.

Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
