This elegant men’s wedding ring features three princess cut lavender sapphires channel set in a platinum band with a brushed finish. It was designed as part of a wedding set to go with women’s ring #102326 for a couple from Seattle, WA, who worked with us both online and in person in our Bellevue, WA showroom to finalize the details of both pieces.

Lavender Sapphires
The stones in this ring are princess cut lavender sapphires, and they were chosen to match the stones in the accompanying women’s wedding band. Stones that fit the particular dimensions that the client wanted proved quite hard to come by, but our extensive network of contacts enabled us to locate them in time to meet the deadline for these rings.
Sapphires represent kindness as well as strength, and the lavender stones are also associated with love and loyalty, making them a fitting choice for such special pieces. They are also quite hard, measuring a 9 out of 10 on the Mohs scale, so they’re well-equipped to handle the rigors of everyday wear.
Finish and Metal Options
This particular ring features a platinum band with a brushed finish on top and polished sides. That combination, coupled with the channel setting for the sapphires, helps create a sleek, contemporary look.
Adjusting any of these elements slightly, though, can create a very different overall feel for the piece. For instance, if you want to take the design in a more vintage direction, you could go with a warmer rose or yellow gold for the band and possibly bright cut settings for the stones. You could also use round stones rather than the more square princess cut, and that would soften the feel of the ring as well.
Adding a different type of finish to the band will also change the style, and some options include high polish, hammered, or sandblasted. Even if you’re not sure which of these will get you the look you’re going for, our experts can offer guidance and show you some examples so you can get a feel for what best fits your individual style.
Matching Wedding Sets
Having all rings in your wedding set made together is a great way to ensure that any unifying features match exactly across all of the pieces. And even if the men’s and women’s rings are different in almost every way, adding some small touches like the sapphires that are shared between the two is a wonderful way to represent the bond you share always.
