Two-tone Band
The inner portion of this ring is made from 18k yellow gold, and it’s slightly domed to contribute to the piece’s classical overtones. On either side of this center section, unplated white gold rails provide a subtle contrast and the perfect frame.
These rails are also rounded, and they rise up a bit above the edge of the yellow gold to both protect the hand-engraving and to give a bit of character to the shape of the band. The subtle two-tone look produced by the combination of these two metals enhances the beauty of both, and it also creates an additional layer of subtle complexity within the piece. Hand Engraving
The pattern engraved in the yellow gold portion features a series of custom crosses separated by wide bars. After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
