Description
This stylish men’s wedding band features a crossing pattern of grooves running down the middle of the center section, framed by polished rails. It was created for a couple from Kirkland, WA, for whom we also designed an engagement ring and women’s wedding band #102120. We worked with them online as well as in person in our Bellevue, WA showroom to make sure the details of each piece we made for them were exactly what they were looking for in every way.

Crossing Pattern
The main feature of this ring is the etched pattern of criss-crossing grooves that runs all the way around the band. It mirrors the shape of the engagement ring and women’s wedding band, which helps unite the wedding set. Parallel grooves also run along both sides of the band, making clear the separation between the center section and the outer rails.
Contrasting Finishes
To help the etched grooves stand out, they received a polished finish, as did the rails on the outer edges of the band. The inner, larger portion of the ring, however has a brushed finish that creates a nice matte effect. The contrast between these two is subtle, but it’s just enough to give the design some complexity, and it helps to give the ring a more classical feel.
Matching Wedding Sets
This is an excellent example of the way you can use shared features to tie all of the pieces in your wedding set together. While the style of men’s and women’s rings are often quite different, small touches like the etched pattern in this piece create the perfect link between them. Matching Wedding Sets
Of course, there are many other options for the types of features you can use to connect your rings. For instance, you could create two-tone bands, and the use of the same colors of metals in all of the rings would be the unifying feature. Or you could include a gemstone in the men’s band, either tucked on the inside or worked subtly into the outside of the band to create the link.
Regardless of what appeals to you, our team has the skills and experience necessary to turn your ideas into a beautiful custom wedding set. We recommend having all pieces in the set made at the same time to ensure matching features across all of them, but we can also create new rings to match ones you already have.
