Men's Wedding Band Description

This elegant men’s wedding ring features two intersecting grooves, with a single diamond flush set at their meeting point, and contrasting finishes on the platinum band. It was created for a couple from Seattle, WA, and we made an engagement ring for them at the same time as well. They came into our Bellevue, WA showroom initially to begin the custom design process, and after seeing the CAD models of their rings that we shared with them online, they immediately gave their approval to move the pieces into production. Flush Set Diamond

A single princess cut 0.06 carat diamond is flush set on the top of this band. It provides just enough sparkle to stand out without being flashy, and it sits at the intersection of the two polished grooves that cross the band. The longer of these grooves runs all the way around the ring just off of center, while the other crosses perpendicularly to make the shape of a cross at the top of the ring right where the diamond sits.

Contrasting Finishes

The longer groove divides the band into a thicker and thinner portion, both of which are brushed to create a nice matte surface. This contrasts perfectly with the high polish finish in the grooves, as well as with the sparkle of the diamond to help highlight the separations between the various features included in the design. Customization Options

If you’re interested in customizing this piece, you might want to consider using a different type of metal, as rose or yellow gold would add some warmth and a more classical feel. Replacing the diamond with a colored sapphire is another option, and this gives you the opportunity to include the same type of gemstone that’s found in your partner’s rings or some other significant detail like their eye color.

You may also want to experiment with different widths for the band, as personal preference often dictates what’s most comfortable in that regard. This ring is 6.5mm wide, which is on the narrow side for a men’s ring. If you like something more substantial, you may want to go with a band that’s closer to 8mm or 9mm, and the best way to determine what’s most comfortable for you is to try on some rings of various widths, either in our showroom or at your local jeweler.
