This elegant men’s wedding ring features contrasting finishes and custom hand engraving on the white gold band. It was created as part of a custom wedding set for a couple from Bradenton, FL, who initially reached out to us for ideas on how to incorporate a special set of initials into their rings. We came up with this design for the men’s ring and used a similar style for the engagement ring, both of which our clients loved.

Custom Engraving
Custom hand engraving can be worked into a piece in all kinds of ways. No matter how you use it, though, it provides a wonderful opportunity for adding a personal and unique touch. In this ring, the engraving actually takes center stage in the form of beautiful, stylized scrip initials across the top of the piece. There are also hearts engraved into the sides of the tapered shank, and these give the ring more character, while also introducing romantic overtones to the design.
Contrasting Finishes
The circular space at the top of this ring where the initials are engraved features a brushed finish, which produces a nice matte effect. The rest of the band is polished to a high shine, with the exception of the interior of the hearts carved into the shank, and the contrast produced by the juxtaposition of these two different finishes helps emphasize the separation between different parts of the ring.
Matching Wedding Sets
The engagement ring that matches this piece also features the engraved initials in a flat circle on the top of the band, although it integrates other details as well to create a more feminine feel. Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
