Flush Set Garnet
A 2.77 carat garnet sits at the top if this ring. It’s roughly square in shape, with slightly rounded edges, and the interior features what’s known as a checkerboard pattern formed by the positioning of the facets. This creates a lovely effect as the light catches the stone at different angles, and the contrast of the rich red of the garnet with the brilliant white of the platinum it’s set in really helps the stone stand out. Diamond Accents and Band Design
The band itself is flat and wide, although it tapers slightly as it moves away from the top. On the fronts, however, it thickens significantly near the center setting, which allows for the depth of the garnet at the top. On the inside of the band, a custom filigree plate runs below the center setting from the middle of one shank shoulder to the other. It features a criss-cross pattern that the client requested, and it’s a special personal touch that stays hidden when the ring is being worn.
