Description
This elegant men’s wedding ring features a checkerboard garnet flush set in the center, with flush set diamond accents on the fronts, and a custom filigree plate inside the band. It was created for a client from Concord, CA, and we made a wedding band for his fiancee at the same time. He had previously come to us for a custom garnet engagement ring, and he was so happy with the way that turned out that he wanted us to make their wedding rings as well. Matching Wedding Sets

Flush Set Garnet
A 2.77 carat garnet sits at the top if this ring. It’s roughly square in shape, with slightly rounded edges, and the interior features what’s known as a checkerboard pattern formed by the positioning of the facets. This creates a lovely effect as the light catches the stone at different angles, and the contrast of the rich red of the garnet with the brilliant white of the platinum it’s set in really helps the stone stand out. Diamond Accents and Band Design
The band itself is flat and wide, although it tapers slightly as it moves away from the top. On the fronts, however, it thickens significantly near the center setting, which allows for the depth of the garnet at the top. On each of these fronts, a small round diamond is flush set, and these add a surprise sparkle that really brings character and depth to the design. Men’s Custom Wedding Bands
On the inside of the band, a custom filigree plate runs below the center setting from the middle of one shank shoulder to the other. It features a criss-cross pattern that the client requested, and it’s a special personal touch that stays hidden when the ring is being worn.
Matching Wedding Sets
The client chose a garnet for his center stone to match the engagement ring and wedding band we made for his fiancee. This use of the same type of gemstone across all pieces in the wedding set really helps unite them and serves as a wonderful symbol of the bond between the couple.

A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
