He eventually found a design that he liked, and we customized it for him to make it the perfect reflection of his personal style. This process included developing two alternate CAD models of the ring, which we then grew wax models of so that he could examine them in person before approving one to send into production. Combination Finishes
The intricate surface of this ring is created by the combination of hammered and brushed finishes. The many faces are the result of the hammered treatment, and a coarse brushed finish produces the rich matte effect on top of that.
Our initial model had more smaller faces, but the client asked to see what the ring would look like if these were larger and there were fewer of them. After seeing this alternate model, he was still unsure which way to go, and that’s when we grew the wax models so that he could compare them in person.
Band Width
This ring is 6mm wide, which is on the narrow side when it comes to men’s bands. Experimenting with different widths is one way to begin the customization process for this piece, as any change in this regard would subtly impact the overall appearance of the ring. The best way to determine the right width for you, though, is to visit our showroom or your local jeweler and try on some pieces of varying widths to see which feels best.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
